i was in jess' class just now. crashed her finance class. boy is it boring. haha. if not for the laptop i would have been dozing off. was afraid that the lecturer would discover that i'm not in his class. not even a student of this school. hahaha. but its quite interesting to crash her class. the thrill of it. :D

haven't been blogging. cuz i've been busy editing photos. hahaha. we took TONS of photos. if i dont resize them, they would take up so so much space la. a few GBs! haha. those from my cam plus those from jess' cam. haha. anyway, life has been good and i'm happy :D i cant believe that time flies by so quickly. i'll be leaving next sunday night! omg. there are so many things i would miss. like the ice blended green tea boba from urth cafe, the super yummy crepe, the churos from disneyland, the cute waiter at gyu-kaku.. etc. HAHA. of course the person i'll miss the most is jesslyn novianty. :)

by the way, gyu-kaku is jap bbq. super yummy! the beef and the cow tongue... yums. hahaha. jess says there's gyu-kaku in singapore! i was shocked. hahha. CHIJMES! i am so gona go there. :D hope the standard is just as good! over the period of stay here, i've grown to love cow tongue! its yummy! yea the thought of it is gross, but hey its yummy! hahaha.

my shoulders are still peeling from the sunburn and that sucks. oh ya, my scalp is also peeling. gross. looks like dandruff. super huge pieces. i hate sunburns. the sun can be so hot here, but the wind is still so cold! hahaha. in the afternoon it can be 27deg, at night it can drop to 19deg. still, i rather be cold than hot. i wish the wind here can be imported to singapore. then singapore wouldnt be so hot!

bought my very first top from AUDREY KAN & friends' blogshop (zigzagzey.LJ). hahaha. see audrey, you should be happy that i'm so supportive of you. i've never bought anything from any blogshops before you know! hahaa. :)

anyway, CAN YOU BELIEVE NEXT WEEK WE'RE FINALLY GONA GRADUATE?? AND AND THE FOLLOWING DAY WOULD BE AN EVEN HAPPIER DAY FOR ME! :D :D :D CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT!

i just ate yummy home baked brownies with cookie dough flavoured ice cream, and i'm HAPPY. :D hahahaha. oh the simple joys of life. hmmm... should i bring my dog out for a walk? or just watch my two and a half men? lol. maybe i'll do both!

oh i was so sleepy at work today, kept dozing off omg. hahaha. boss caught me sleeping, and he was like, "melinda what are you doing huh?" =/ hahaha. but i had a good reason! it was cuz i was waiting for the retarded com to render out a perspective. on average, it took about 1hr45mins to render out one perspective. did a total of 8 perspectives today using 2 coms. haha. so during that duration of 1hr45mins, i naturally got so bored and SLEEPY! hahaha. sigh. have more to render out tomorrow. i'm considering to bring a book perhaps, to read while waiting, so i wouldnt keep falling asleep. :D which book shall i bring?? hmmm...

mom wants me to go get an injection before going over. but............ i am so afraid of injections! its a phobia since primary school.... boohoo. i know its like not pain and all that, but its the idea of a foreign object piercing into my skin that frightens me. like eeew... =( shit. maybe i'll go get the jab this coming saturday.. if not dad really might not let me go. sighs. its just like that primary 5 langkawi trip. dad said if i didnt get my BCG he wouldnt let me go. man man man. i hate injections.

but on the brighter side, i'm happy that the date is nearing! hehehe. long awaited trip. like damn long. :D yayys.

brought my dog whisky out for a walk last night. like 9-11pm. longg walk. hahaa. even walked to and fro east coast. i only brought him and my hp out.. i think he was damn tired, and damn thirsty. oops. hahaha. =/ promise next time i bring him out for a long walk i'll remember to bring a water bottle along at least for him. hahha. and i found it quite wierd; he doesnt shit and pee at all when he's out. haha. unlike my previous malteses. they like to pee everywhere. i still miss them..

today was okay.. busy at work as usual. haha. ohwells. yay friend lent me two and a half men season 2 dvds! i'm so gona watch it noww. :D

its a saturday. but i've been spending my whole day at home. not bored though. :) played the piano, finished watching the whole of Two And A Half Men season 6, had lunch (mostly leftovers from last night's buffet catering which was still yummy), played the guitar, surfed the net, and most importantly.... i studied and learnt so much more about stocks! hahaha. really interesting though i'd get lost sometimes while reading through all the stuff. i started the day with like 3% knowledge about stocks, and now i feel i've gained another 57% of knowledge. :D feels quite good studying these stuff. after i come back from my holiday, i think i'm gona save 5k to invest. hahaha. anyway, its night already. dinnertime! heeheehee. bye.

:D my stomach's bursting. lol. got home around 8.30 after work. OT-ed again as usual.. haha. i thought there'd be no more food left for me, but i couldnt have been more wrong. lol! relatives ordered so much food! buffet catering at grandma's. =) i i ate from like 8.30 to 11pm. omg. hahahaa. that's why my stomach's bursting. if it really bursts, do you know what would happen? :D ahaha. a FOOD BABY will emerge.

dad spent 2000plus changing the pipe carrying water from the radiator, and the air con pipes too cuz they were near by. just pipes. and that's 2k. wth. i feel bad.. though its not my fault that the old pipes leaked.. that car is really old after all.

with age comes problems. its like that for both human and machine, for living and non-living things.. after pondering for awhile, i realised that the only things which get better in time are fossil fuels and precious stones. hahaha.

i think. new friends are interesting. but you've gotta still be wary of them and observe more to make sure they are really the friend you think they are.

its good when i dont have any work to bring home. :) one day down,  17 more days till graduation, 18 days more till my usa trip. :D there're more and more cases of swine flu in usa. mom says by then if the situation gets worse, dad might not allow me to go. oh nooooooooooo. i can only hope and pray.. i think even if it gets worse, i'll still wana go! hahaha.

i so wana be rich when i grow up. haha. random. but ya. its in my thoughts... once again, sundays with that  pro in stocks. i wana start saving and buying stocks already! but as a student, i wont have any money to save to buy stocks..

do you think the world is really gona end soon? if so i dont wana study anymore. lol. what's the use of bringing all those certs to your deathbed with you right. haha. i rather have more money to spend with my family and friends, enjoy myself thoroughly, and die with no regrets.

okay this is gona be a long post filled with words.

i think. i'm super suay. i think. i shouldnt drive my dad's car out alone anymore. =( both times i did something bad happened.

first time: reversed into a pillar thus causing part of the back to crack or get dented
second time: pipe carrying water around to cool the engine burst, thus causing the engine to overheat, thus causing the whole car to stop all of the sudden and start smoking away.

last night. i was so frightened! omggg. never met that situation before.  only sam was in the car with me. cars behind started horning. we totally didnt know what to do and started calling everybody! omgg. i was opposite suntec, in the middle of the road!!! luckily there are really nice strangers around singapore. :) i love singapore! ahaha. i bet if i were in some unfriendly country, people would just rob us instead of help us.

anywayy, the nice stranger offered to help push the car to the side of the road. he called like another 5 people to help. thank you strangers! :) then he helped to check the engine to see what went wrong. his verdict was that the car got overheated, so i'd just have to wait for the engine to cool down the pour water into this tank looking thing, then i would be able to drive again. after staying with us for a short while he left.

i wasn't supposed to be at suntec.. i was suppose to head home after leaving the condo. thus i didnt want to call my dad at first.. haha. so i called leney! who was with alvin. the both of them were nice enough to come down! haha. THANKYOU both. :D

and so we were sitting in the car waiting for the engine to cool down. and seriously it was smoking awayyy!!! :(( omg. lol. then, another two strangers in a Saab convertible stopped behind us. the driver was a chinese, the one in the passenger seat was an ang moh. at first i was thinking like wth these people cant see my car broke down huh why still stop behind. but then the driver got down and asked if we needed help. :) he went to check the engine and told me that i better not drive already. something else might happen to the engine then it would cost a thousands to repair it. he said that he's a member of AIA, thus he can get me a free tow service! so nice of him! hahaha.

leney and alvin arrived. alv's dad is a mechanic. so he sorta knows some stuff about the car engines and stuff. so he went to inspect, and declared that a pipe burst. there was a leakage somewhere. there was a puddle of water underneath the car. seems like all the water leaked away, thus the engine overheated. he said that normally people would find the pipe then wrap it up for the time being, then the car could be driven again.

i asked the stranger what his name was, and was surprised to find out that his name is alvin too! hahaha. alvins. one alvin ting the other alvin khoo. anywayy, alvinK helped me to call the tow truck already. and if the tow truck was coming, i figured that i really couldn't keep it from my dad any longer... my dad had already been asking my where i was too. so.. i called him.. and told him the news.. and he started shouting! omg. he was asking where i was, why i didnt contact him first.. he and mom came down to find me. alvinK left after leaving me his name card and his AIA membership card. me and sam waited in alvinT's car with leney where there was aircon. it was so damn hot even though it was like 11 plus 12 am in the night!

parents arrived exactly the same time as the tow truck. alvinT offered to send sam home. :) thankyou again. i got into parent's car and started wailing and telling my mom everything and about the nice strangers i met, while my dad went to speak with the tow truck driver. the tow truck followed my parent's car to the car workshop at siglap. in the car, dad told me that he met alvinK. he came by again. so they spoke abit but i'm not sure what they spoke about. got home around 1 plus am.

in the car dad was lecturing me non stop.. saying that i am like Pinocchio, who didnt listen to his grandfather thus he got into trouble. mostly lectured that i'm still not experienced enough to drive alone, why i didnt check that the temperature was rising, why i didnt listen to him, why i didnt go home straightaway, etcetcetc. hais. sad. i just wanted to drive around abit more, that's all. cuz its not often he lets me drive out by myself..

oh wells. slept around 2plus am. met up with alvK this evening to return him his AIA membership card. and what a coincidence, he stays very close to me. seriously i'm really very grateful to alvK. who would help a random stranger so much? haha. so i asked how i could return the favour, and he said its okay, but coffee would be good. hahhaa. so i said okay, since i have to meet him to return his card anyway. he came by to pick me. it was fun sitting in his convertible! he likes to speed. lol. but my hair was so messy flying everywhere. its still a fun experiece though! first time in a convertible. and so, he brought me to this safra club near tanah merah i think. its by the sea. near changi. we had a chat over fries and juice. i'm so thankful for nice people like him. :)

this incident has led me to believe that there are really many nice helpful strangers around our sunny island. :D and also, when i disobey dad, something bad would happen. =/

seriously thank sam too! for being there accompanying me all the time. caused her much trouble and inconvenience. =/ haha. yesterday afternoon she suddenly smsed me saying she was bored doing nothing at home. and so was i. hahaa. we wanted to go out but didnt want to spend any money. so, we decided on exercising at my family's condo. surprisingly, dad let me drive there even after that previous accident! heh. we  went to the gym for about an hr, swam for about an hr, roasted in the sauna for 30mins, and had dinner there.

i'm so tired. so wana just lie down and sleep.. but i haven't showered yet though. gona take a shower then go sleep already. worked till 10plus pm. OT 4 hour plus la. lol. being a designer can really get tiring. will it be like this forever? =/ omg.

told dad about my LA trip already. surprisingly, his reaction was like.. no reaction at all. lol. cool. but he did warn me about the swine flu thing. made me sit down with him and watch CNN. lol.

i know dad loves me. and i'm thankful for him. but sometimes he really irrates me so much that i start to wish i had another dad instead. =/ i should keep reminding myself of how nice dad really is.

i ate a bar of snickers, and two damn yummy but fattening pieces of subway cookies today. feel fat again. =/ boss bought us char kway tiao while we were working late. ate abit of that only but.. i still feel very unhealthy. once again, i thought of jogging. haha. people say its the thought that counts right. haHAHa.

sundays. now every sunday i'm dreading mondays. =( lol. cuz it means back to workk. hahaa. not that i dont enjoy work or that i dont like the people there la. its just that i'm lazy. hahaha. my colleagues are nice and the work there is rather interesting for now.. designing the christmas light up for orchard road this yr.

hahaa. it was a typical sunday for me. church in the morning, lunch with the family, then slacked at our condo till evening before going home. haha. slacky and good, just that way i like it. :D after blogging it'll be dinner and tv time. haha. time flies.

i'm wondering how much i'll be spending for my coming trip. hahaha. do you think $1K is enough? =/ hahaha. i have this feeling that its not. oh wells. hope i can save more money for now. gotta stop going out so often. hehe. jess says we'll be going to this Rave Party thing on the 23rd May! so i'll be reaching LA on the 22nd, then that very night we'll be flying to SF. hahaha. PARTY! sounds good eh!! :D

every sunday, when i see mom's friend, this nerdy but really clever HK man who's a professional investor in stocks, he'd teach me stuffs about stocks and give me tips on what to buy, and i'll be SO tempted and SO interested to start investing!! hahaha. he doesn't have to work at all you know. he just invests in stocks. and he's earning so much more than the average working class. problem for now is that i dont have the $$ to invest. hahaha. today, i told myself that i'll start saving money after i'm back from my holiday so that i'll be able to start investing when i'm 21 (next yr)! thenn, i'll try to earn loads by the time i'm 25! :) i wana be sucessful in life.

today i had this sudden thought. what if i start studying in 2011 instead of 2010? initially i thought of finishing my bachelors first, then work one year before taking my masters. but i can do it the other way too. work for a year first, then take my bachelors and masters without having to stop in between. however, the economy now isn't that good. the pay i get wouldnt be good compared to what i'd get with a degree. =/ howw. so maybe i should stop thinking so much and start studying next feb/march as planned. hahaha. i pray that i'll have the wisdom to make the right decision.

okay i wana watch HEROES now. hahaa. haven't finish watching the 2nd half of season 3. hahaa. once i start i bet i won't be able to stop. its like an unstoppable drug. =/ hahaha.

ohh my younger sister has a stalker! ahahhaa. he followed her home. omgg. my brother witnessed it from a distance. and the stalker gave her a note asking her out for a date! hahahaa. ooOOh. my younger sis seems to be popular. not bad.. lol.
